When in Paris, go ahead and see the things you are "supposed" to see. Visit the Louvre, the Eiffel tower, Notre Dame, the Arc De Triomphe. Do it. Then, to really get the feel of Paris, stroll through a neighborhood park, a cemetery, visit all the street markets and taste the fresh breads, cheeses, and pastries. Explore the Latin Quarter and the catacombs. Find your own way on the bus. You can do it. You won't regret it. One of the great things about our tour was that we were shown things, and taken places, but we were given plenty of time to explore on our own as well.
